Skagit Valley College Showcases Graduating Student Art

MOUNT VERNON, WASHINGTON — The Skagit Valley College is calling all art lovers to visit the final art exhibition of the 2022-2023 Fall Academic year at the college, where graduating students enrolled in the AVA degree program present their amazing art pieces on display.

The Art Gallery presents the Art in the Time of COVID, is available in the entryway of the Gary Knutzen Cardinal Center.

Fall hours are Monday through Thursday from 1:30 – 4:30 pm.

Save Our County Beaches and Bays

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA — The Salish Sea Stewards Volunteer Training Program is looking for those who are interested in learning about the science, about all of the sea creatures and plants which are well-established in bays and on beaches.

What a great way to learn about our area and how to save our environments and the wildlife that lives within it. And, another way to educate yourself and your family, making it a wonderful learning experience.

Details are in the photo (below) as to when the training is and how to reserve your special seat in this great training program.

The training is hosted by local experts with the Skagit MRC/Padilla Bay NERR in Mount Vernon, Washington.
